Douglas K. Giarde, P.E.
President
Doug joins the Jansen team having spent over 35 years in the pulp and paper industry focusing on environmental, evaporation, energy savings and chemical processing solutions with a leading technology provider. His areas of expertise include process design, project management, construction management, corporate leadership, strategic planning and business development. Doug holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Washington, as well as an MBA from Seattle University.
Samit J. Pethe
Director, Boiler Technologies
Samit has over 25 years of experience in the boiler industry. He received a BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pune in India and a MS Degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Florida in Gainesville.
Samit started his career at Jansen as a Boiler Process Engineer focusing on root cause and performance improvement evaluations, field data collection, combustion tuning, equipment start-up support, and operator training. As Manager of the Process Technologies group at Lundberg Jansen, Samit focuses on managing and developing a talented team of Process Engineers. He and his group specialize in boiler evaluations to improve combustion stability and efficiency, increase power generation rates, reduce stack emissions, and increase alternative fuel firing rates.
Over his career, Samit has been responsible for the process specification and equipment commissioning of combustion systems, superheaters, and economizers.
Stephen C. Johnson
Purchasing Manager
Steve has over 25 years of experience in supply chain and operational management. He started his career after college holding various positions gaining expertise in contract management, ERP systems, quality management systems, vendor development and international business. As Purchasing Manager, Steve oversees customer and vendor relations, contract management, daily procurement, and quality system compliance activities.
Jeremiah Yoder
Director of Project Operations – Boiler Projects
Jeremiah Yoder has more than 30 years of experience in design engineering, project management, and leadership across multiple manufacturing industries. Since 2001, he has focused on the power generation and pulp and paper sectors, supporting large-scale boiler and energy projects.
Over the course of his career, Jeremiah has held positions of increasing responsibility in engineering, proposal management, business operations, and project execution. His experience spans the entire project lifecycle, from project development and planning through implementation and delivery.
Jeremiah holds a Bachelor of Science in Project Management from Malone University and an Executive Leadership Certificate from the University of South Carolina. He specializes in project development and execution, combining technical expertise, business insight, and leadership to drive successful project outcomes.
Mark J. McCabe
Sales Manager – North America
Mark has 30+ years of application sales in the electric utility boiler, pulp and paper, process heat, and construction industries. His experience in combustion, air pollution control and emissions monitoring, and multi-variable linear processes brings a creative eye to problem solving. He helps customers identify areas and issues that are working against their production, safety, environmental and efficiency goals and works with them to develop a roadmap to operational success.
